Jaalis trip to the vet was fairly uneventful (although Im not
sure Jaali would agree with that). He was only booked in to have is bottom teeth
and his nails trimmed but the question of an x-ray or other investigations came
up. He was very good about this nails but fought like mad when his teeth got
trimmed – again it took three people to hold him still.
The vet got another good look at the top gums and confirmed that there is
tooth in each socket. They are just below the gum line and appeared to be a
healthy colour. Sadly the vets verdict was that if they hadnt started to
grow by now theyll probably never grow again. At least they are visible
and not growing in the wrong direction.
It is hard to know if an x-ray or further investigation will be helpful. Even
if something was found there wasnt much intervention that could be done
because of all the fine structures in the skull and nose. Jaalis recently
been on antibiotics so its unlikely to be an infection. Also, at the moment,
Jaali is very, very happy and bouncing about like a teenager. It would be a
shame to stress him out with more visits to the vets.
