Late Tuesday afternoon Ambaa starting acting oddly. She was shifting around
her house and lying in odd positions. She wouldnt take any food or
water – not even mealworms which are her current
favorite. A bit later she was hunched in a ball and and looking as if she
was in some discomfort.
The vet was able to discuss these symptoms over the phone and didnt
think it was too serious but wanted her back in the following morning.
The vet gave her a thorough examination and was generally happy. It was good
to find that her temperature was normal. However he wanted to repeat the x-rays
and possibly do an ultrasound because her tummy seemed more tender than it had
been and Ambaa was in the highest risk period for developing peritonitis.
Ambaas is have the test done at the moment and the vet will ring once
he has the results.
